MHL Challenge Cup - Atom Chargers Select

Mississauga, ON.  Between April 4th and April 7th, the Acton Chargers Atom Hockey team battled in the MHL Challenge Cup.  

The team went undefeated in the round robin portion of the tournament and grabbed the 2nd seed going in to the sudden death playoffs.  The Chargers outlasted the Streetsville Derbys 2-1 in the quarter finals and set up a semi final match up with the Milton Winterhawks.  The Chargers reached the finals after a dramatic double overtime win to meet the Meadowvale Hawks for the Championship.  The team put forth a great effort in the Final putting the Hawks away with a 3-1 victory to capture the title.  The Chargers only gave up three goals in the five games en route to their very first Championship.  The Chargers represented Acton with hard work, determination, excellent teamwork, and sportsmanship.  The Chargers are:  Ryan Lancaster, Tanner MacDonald, Lincoln Bailey, Curtis Hewitt, Lucas Hunter, Kemper Bravener, Travis Parker, Cole Andrews, Damian Debski, Justin Crawford, Cole Geldart, Lucas Simoes, Jackson Judge, Kayden Clark, Michael Kusiak, and Ryan Hoffman.
