MANDATORY FREE 'SAFE RETURN TO HOCKEY' COURSE
The OMHA, along with the OHF and Hockey Canada, have worked diligently on a Return to Hockey plan based on direction from governments and public health authorities.

For the 2020-21 hockey season, all Team Officials (Coach, Trainer, Manager) and HCOP On-Ice Officials are required to complete the Hockey University: Planning a Safe Return to Hockey course. There is no charge to access the course.

The FREE program looks at some key information to know to help to reduce the risk of COVID-19 in the hockey environment. Throughout the module detailed information will be reviewed on specific prevention topics and encourage all to become familiar with the Public Health Authority guidelines and restrictions and the Hockey Canada Safety Guidelines.

All minor hockey participants are encouraged to read the Hockey Canada Return to Play Guidelines and the OHF Return to Play Framework for the most up-to-date and important information concerning the safety protocols for Return to Hockey. Hockey Canada has developed an online course to ensure everyone have as much information as possible to prepare.

The program is broken into three (3) modules; Introduction to Reopening, Specific Considerations and Roles and Responsibilities and takes approximately 20 minutes.
