Novice Select, 2016-2017 (Acton Houseleague Hockey Association)

Barrie, ON.  Between March 31st and April 2nd, the Acton Chargers Novice Select Team traveled to Barrie to play in the Pro Oil Select Hockey Tournament.  The Chargers, led by Head Coach Adam Lindsay, faced stiff competition from across the Province in the round robin portion of the tournament and earned a semi final berth on April 2nd.  The Chargers battled valiantly against an undefeated Barrie Colts squad in that semi final but ended up on the short end of a 4-0 scoreboard.  The Chargers never quit and represented Acton well over the entire tournament both on and off the ice.  

Between February 3rd and 5th the Acton Chargers Novice Select Team traveled to Stoney Creek to participate in the Dofasco Select Tournament. The kids played excellent in the round robin winning 2 out of 3 and finishing in second place in their pool. The Chargers advanced to the final in their first tournament by defeating the Coronation Bengals 3-1 in the Sunday morning semi-final. Unfortunately the Chargers ran out of gas in the evening final, falling to the host Dofasco Steelhawks 3-0. The Chargers represented Acton with great effort, teamwork and sportsmanship all weekend long.
